Iran short film ‘The Fog’ wins award at Shimla Filmfest in India

Iran short film ‘The Fog’ grabs Best Short Film Awards From 4th Shimla Film Festival in India.

Iran short film ‘The Fog’ has succeeded to win Best Short Film Awards from the 4th edition of Shimla Film Festival in India.

Co-directed by Ali Shourvarzi and Hossein Mahrouqi, the short flick attended the Indian film event and successfully grabbed Best Short Film Awards of the festival.

Niloufar Khosh-Kholgh, Siamak Adib and Qorban Najafi are some of the cast members of the film.

The film narrates the story of a corpse washer who has not washed any dead bodies since she lost her own kid. Unexpected turn of events puts her in circumstances she must go back to her old job.

The first ever International Film Festival of Shimla for Documentary, Short and Animation Films was held in October 2015. City of Shimla is the permanent venue of the festival.

The festival is a unique venture in India and is being organized by the Himalayan Velocity in collaboration with Department of Language & Culture, Government of Himachal Pradesh as part of its endeavor to catalyze a vibrant documentary, short film animation and music videos movement. 

The 2018 edition of the event was held on October 12-14.
